The Academy
Elite development for players targeting national programmes, scholarships and the professional game.
The Academy is the elite end of the pathway, for players targeting national programmes, scholarships and the professional game. Entry is by selection at trials held twice yearly.
Academy players train more often, are held to higher standards and are supported accordingly. Our coaches include people with professional and national team experience.
What to expect
- Selection by trial, held twice yearly
- Multiple sessions per week
- A maximum of ten players per coach
- Qualified Ballaz coaches, DBS-equivalent checked
- Water breaks and shaded rest between activities
- Individual development plans reviewed each term

Other stages
Lil' Ballaz
Ages 3–6
First touches, first friendships. Play-led sessions that build coordination, confidence and a love of the ball.
Jr. Ballaz
Ages 7–11
Technique and mastery. Players become comfortable, confident and creative with the ball at their feet.
Bigga Ballaz
Ages 12–16
Competitive football. Tactical understanding, physical development, and the character to lead a team.
