Legal
Participation waiver
What you agree to when you register a child for a Ballaz programme, camp or session.
Draft - not yet legally reviewed
This wording is a working draft prepared by Arkadia and has not yet been reviewed by Ballaz's legal adviser. It describes what the platform actually does, so the final text can be built on it - but it is not yet the binding version.
Before you read this
This page shows the current waiver for reference. The version you accept at registration is recorded with its version number, the date and time, so both you and Ballaz have a clear record of exactly what was agreed.
If we publish a new version, you will be asked to review it before your next registration.
Assumption of risk
Football involves physical contact and carries a risk of injury. By registering a child you acknowledge that risk.
Ballaz manages that risk through qualified coaching, a maximum of ten players per coach, age-appropriate sessions, frequent water breaks and shaded rest.
Medical and emergency consent
You confirm that the child is in suitable health to take part, and that you have told us about anything affecting safe participation.
You authorise Ballaz staff to arrange emergency medical treatment if you cannot be reached, and to act on the information you have given us.
Behaviour
Players are expected to follow the Ballaz values and the instructions of coaching staff. Behaviour that endangers others may end participation without refund.
What this waiver does not cover
This waiver does not limit Ballaz's responsibility to supervise properly, to employ suitably checked staff, or to meet any duty the law places on us.
